This piece is heart wrenching. All of the imagery was unbelievable. Dying people not only piled on beds, but on floors. Neat question! Lewis kept referring to future lectures with possible solutions to many of the problems he highlighted, but I wonder if he has a master plan in mind or just ideas.

I thought you piece had wonderful flow. You were concise and clear without being plain or simple.

You did a great job of clearly identifying the "details" that stood out for you and the "so what?" of those details (ie how you felt and what you thought).

I agree with you 100% that the imagery and the stories that he tells create a depressing mood.A lthough I did feel inspired to do something about this crisis after i finished. I like that you backed up your thoughts by using relevent quotes and statistics pulled from the story. I acan see why Lewis is so in love with this country. The wide eyed, open hearted people who care for their families even at the age os 7 or 8.
