Sounds like oral allergy syndrome. A friend of mine has that, only she has it really bad -- she's allergic to all raw fruits and veggies. Do you have really bad hay fever-type allergies as well? From what she's told me, OAS tends to be a cross-over from tree pollen; there are proteins in raw fruits/veggies that are close enough to the proteins in certain tree pollens that the allergy system gets them confused. Cooking breaks down the proteins, so you don't react to them anymore.
Hah, I was just going to give you the same spiel, about the same friend. It's really hard to be allergic to things you love; I'm sorry you're having this problem!
