*Quick note: I was inspired to do this by another blogger. The list is supposed to be composed of facts that most of my friends don't know about me. And since I have no idea what to write about today, I figured I might as well to do this. Heck, why not.

1. I actually knew how to speak Chinese when I was 3 years old...and yep, pretty fluently. I was ( Read more... )

I only spoke Cantonese back then, not Mandarin. I think Mandarin's the popular one nowadays, right?

I spoke French when I was young, because my grandfather spoke it with me. For some reason, he stopped speaking it with me, and I forgot, until I took Spanish my senior year of high school. My first test said 'See Me' on it. When I went up to the teacher's desk, she said, "I don't want to fail you, because all of your answers were right. The problem is, they were in French." Apparently I retained more of it than I thought I did.

French? That's awesome, I always saw it as one of the most beautiful languages. Was your grandfather from France?

Lol, at least you remembered a lot of it. I completely forgotten my Chinese.

He's from the French part of Canada, Quebec I think? It is a beautiful language, and it helped me learn Spanish because they're similar.
I heard Chinese is going to be one of the most useful languages to know soon. You should try re-learning it, you might've retained some of it without realizing. I always thought it would be cool to be able to write in Chinese, I love the symbols.

Yeah, I should. My school offers Chinese so maybe I'll take it (might as well since I'm paying for tuition, lol). I kind of like Japanese too. I think it's a little easier to learn to speak then Chinese because of the accents.

Oh, Quebec? Yeah, I have a friend from there and it's amazing how she speaks both French and English quite fluently. So did you do good in Spanish in the end?
