Went out this lunch time on the hunt for a little something for a mate's leaving pressie. Managed to find something similar, but not exactly what I was looking for - if I can't find the exact item, I have a back-up at least. Found a couple of rather nice items for me *cough* which was unfortunate, and rather nice jewelery shop which I might have ( Read more... )

we had hail storm yesterday & there was a very big electrical storm around north manchester

Yes, but you get to see (up to) 154 bands rather than a few ;)

Have you/Stuart sent off for the tickets yet? The money is in my Paypal account waiting to be transferred...

there are not many bands I really want to see *shrug* (unless more have been added since I last checked). Bands which I would want to see, and have played previous years, aren't this time round, eg Deine Laiken, Project Pirchfork, etc. I am going more from the experience, rather than bands, as I have never been a huge fan live music (though my interest, mainly due to Stuart) has increased over the last 5 years.

It would be Stuart who would be sending off for tickets, cos that's where the money went :P he usually reads my LJ anyway and will probably respond. (for myself) I am really dragging on whether I can make it this year. If I do I will be really stresed out over the 2 weeks or so prior to WGT, and will no doubt not be a happy bunny for the first couple of days... decisions decisions...

I've already replied, but then deleted it as it had an email address in it for the paypal account. Just too lazy to dig out a proper email address.

There are plenty of clubnights on there every night too as the bands, some huge, some small, depending on venue. Plus all the stalls, many more than at the UK festivals, to keep you occupied, then there's all the touristy stuff... Put it this way, I don't know anyone who's been before and hasn't had a good time time!

I think it will be brilliant, just stay away from the markets and take lots of snaps of people. Have fun toots!
