There is a poster on the corridor wall which aimed at students with an Albert Einstein quote, "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving" which I particulary empathise with as I feel that I have, over the last couple of years, slowed down so much I could be wobbling from the proverbial bike… I definitely need a good ( Read more... )

maybe its cos, unlike buffalo, all their 'normal' shoes are hideous. michelle was inquiring whether you were interested in nipping down and doing some sales shopping? i wouldn't trust myself in a shoe sale at the moment!

lol, Swear 'normal' stuff isn't as bad as Buffalos. Similar situation with Destroy stuff, but some of Destroy's normal footwear is wearable ;P

Reg Michelle's idea - will have to decline the trip to London, I'm afraid. Need to clear out approx 15 pair of boots/shoes - and buying some more Swear, which are very bulky indeed is not really a Good Plan (not sure whether you could buy more than 2 pairs and make it back to the station, never mind having a relaxed slouch around London (especially Camden) carrying them @_@

5+ years ago I would have taken up the offer, though ;)

one of my to-dos is to get the house more free of clutter and make sure do some hobbies and get out more... reading my life away (which is currently what I am doing now) is not a good thing indeed ;(

This is true.
Would offer to help de-clutter but I suspect I'd end up with most of it!

hehe

true *cough* would you like to have the (original) tapes of Robin of Sherwood Series 2 (M Praed last series) ? it's a more compact box set...

also, if you haven't got around to watching Howl's Moving Castle, even though it doesn't play at correct speed on the laptop, plays fine on the DVD player :) so if you want to pop around to watch it and drink wine/cider/lady grey (depending if you are driving, of course) you are more than welcome :) have had a clear up, so plenty of space ;PPPP

NIN nicked some of their lyrics from Nietzsche

My boss from my old job wrote a book on Nietzsche. Wish I had known about the NIN thing then as I could have quizzed him on it!

Stuart said that it is his most famous quote (oops) and gave me run down on Nietzsche - looks like I the majority of the sci-fi I read from my early teens was based around his thoughts/ideas. Found that very amusing ^_- Silly thing is, I did have once a couple of his writings and only briefly flicked/scanned through them (more of a fiction reader) and in the end got rid when I moved out from my parents (sold/gave to charity approx 1000(?) books) and had to be ruthless...
