There's a part of me that wants to, just 'cause. I did for PotBS since I was awake and had nothing better to do.

Fuck it. I'm crawling into bed. I'll grab it tomorrow on the way home from the doc's.

I say screw you to non-digital downloads. I remember seeing some folks lined up for WoW and laughing. Life's too short. I'm too old for standing in line.

Won't happen for a long time. They need the shelf space to hook non-core audience. By bypassing the middleman it reduces the incentive for them to shelve, which reduces the possible market. Some companies might be able to throw their weight around, and admittedly, blizzard probably could have. The majority, not likely.

Still, I think there's a cultural aspect to it. Akin to going to a movie theater (not that I do THAT anymore).

Fortunately, I'm not too old :) Though i didn't care enough to show up. It's in my car now, and I'll try it when I get home.

Personally, I'd be happy if launch days disappeared and items were available when they hit stores instead of arbitrarily be locked away in a backroom to some defined launch date. But I suppose that's not as sexy for marketing.
