such is the wonder of dipterocarps. taking 60 years to flower for the first time and then resting for years and years before flowering again.

Gorgeous lens flare! When I was younger, I'd follow my parents on a Sunday jog at MacRitchie, and till this day I remember looking up and feeling the sun peer through the canopy of trees, much like this.

Thanks for bringing back a lovely memory :)

i was inspired by the sun stars laurencekim's photo blog!!

although the SOOC picture didnt appear too appealing, a little tweaking of the exposure allows the sun stars to emerge perfectly.
