She's bizarrely rude on AIM, and I don't think she means to be. She's just very abrupt. When it's time to go, she wastes no time. Most people, they'll write, "oh, I think I'm gonna go to bed" or "well, i should get going" and then they talk for a few more minutes before they really leave

my mom does the same thing... we'll be having this big long conversation and she'll just end with "bye." no "i'm going to this, i'll have to talk to you later," just an abrupt "bye." i'm like WTF mate?!
