Here's the thing: I am not a fan of most sophomoric humored movies. I'm repelled by gross out humor and endless stupid sex jokes. There has to be something else that balances out the shtick. Examples: Stepbrothers, Scary Movie etc

I like the Apatow joints but some (not all) of the relationships just aren't very believable.
Did you see Role Models? That movie was kind of amazing at walking the line but not falling into easy sentiment. Also I love David Wain and his regular crew.
i never saw role models. i have a tendancy to stay away from movies with the theme of grown men taking care of unruly kids in a)camp setting, b)daycare, or c)step/foster parenting role. (although kindegarten cop is still awesome. LOL).
but i do love sean william scott and paul rudd, so maybe i'll give that film a go.
I hear ya. Did you see knocked up? Although Superbad was more funny, I really liked Knocked up. I liked the father/son lunch scene a lot and I agree, there is a certain cute/touching human element to these funny movies.
I totally have a not-so-secret crush on Seth Rogen. He's so adorable, but I think the fact that he's a jew makes me want to snog him. With Josh's ok, of course.
