every year in July and August, the monsoon rains come to Tucson, providing a brief respite from the extreme heat. after three straight weeks of 112º+ degrees F every single day, two days ago the monsoons finally started. we haven't gotten enough rain, but at least it's something. of course, compared to their namesake (the rainy season in India

ps> i went to st. john's library, read japanese haiku and used a piano in the music building. that campus is the most amazing/beautiful ive ever been too...you mustve loved it.
