THE CITY YES, THIS, BASICALLY. It is like, I LOVE YOU 1950S BEACH PARTY WITH BEACH PIANO AND ALSO PARROTS. This song is ALL THE HAPPY and I just can't...it is wonderful and dancifying and aaaaahhhhh!!!

I have pretty much been waiting for him to come back since two years ago..when I found out about his music RIGHT AFTER HE LEFT NYC! So I'm super excited because I figure, new album= new stateside tour, yes?

When he did the video, people were all up on youtube like "THIS IS SO REPETITIVE, HE SOLD OUT, HIS EARLY STUFF WAS WAY BETTER!!!" and I was like "lol, have y'all never heard 'Bloodbeat'?" Because yeah. Idgaf, "The City" is awesome forever, and I love pop music, and that song basically got me through winter. Fuck yeah, Patrick Wolf! By the same token, I really don't think it's actually possible to write love songs without being at least a little cheesy. Like is "I love the curling of your hair" kind of sappy? Yeah, probably.
