[drabble] Afternoon Lullabies

Summary: One fine afternoon at Okamoto residence
While nine of JUMP members were having fun in the pool at the backyard of Okamoto residence, Yabu-kun chose to stay on the bench. I sat on the other side of the bench and felt a tad nervous since it was just the two of us. I had my hands on my cheeks and my elbows on my lap. My face was facing forward, though sometimes I unconsciously took a glance at him.
He took out his guitar-it was actually Keito’s-put it on his lap and started playing around with the strings. Few seconds later, I could hear him strumming chords and singing along with small voice, but still clear enough for me to hear.
He really has a beautiful voice, my heart leaped at this thought.
Without moving my head, I set my eyes on him until he finished playing. I was surprised when he suddenly turned his head to my direction, so I hurriedly averted my eyes to the green grass below. I could feel my cheeks warming up. I just wished he didn’t see the slight red on my face.
“Is there any song you want me to play?” I startled a bit at his question. Crap, it seemed like I was caught red-handed. But since he was asking …
“Oto.”
“Hm?”
“Oto. The song you sang at TenJUMP concert. The one with Inoo-kun on piano.”
“Ah.” He nodded at my request. “You also know that one?”
“I watched the concert DVD. I think the song is… nice.”
I turned my head to see him smiling lightly.
“… Thanks.” I found his voice shaking a bit.
There were the heat of the summer sun far above, the cool touch of the passing breeze, the sound of splashing water from the pool, the unstopable excited yell coming from the other boys, the melodious guitar strum by the tips of his fingers, and his enchanting voice. I closed my eyes, letting all those lullabies lulled me to a nice afternoon sleep.
