Genre: fluff, slice of life
Summary: short-short stories based on prompts.

1. Rose
Chinen Yuuri/Takaki Yuuya; romance; G (for godangdang)

White. The color of the small petals of the rose. It proudly adorned the top of the thin stalk, and when Yuri held it high, it glowed softly as it was kissed by the sunlight.

“It reminds me of you,” was what Yuya said when he gave Yuri the white rose before he awkwardly looked elsewhere, hiding the slight blush that crept upon his cheeks. Yuri was not so much surprised with the sudden gift, getting used to the older boy giving him many kind of things even when there was nothing to be celebrated about like birthday or dating anniversary, but he never expected him to give something this… romantic. Other than because it was a rose (although not the red one), Yuya had never presented him a flower before. Although Yuri dared to bet that he got the rose not from the flower shop but sneakily plucked it off of his mom’s rose bushes.

That didn’t matter. Just like why it was white rose and not white lily like what everyone else would expect, that didn’t matter at all.

Yuri swept the petals to his nose, sniffing at the faint scent with the older boy’s words resonating in his ears once again.

“It reminds me of you.”

A rare gentle-smile made its way to his lips.

He’s thinking of me, huh?

The scent was faint still, but it would last long in his heart.

2. Waste
Nakajima Yuuto/OC; slice of life; G

“You see, I found these pictures in the internet and it was very hila-whoa!”

Yuuto let out a little yelp when some kids in the park-probably playing tag-accidentally ran into him and the cup of pudding he was eating fell from his hand, the content spilled  out to the dusty ground.

“My pudding…” He hadn’t even got to finish half of it.

His face looked as if he was only mildly surprised, but his friend knew better, especially when he didn’t give any other reaction even after seconds had passed. Giving him a pitying look, she placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Shall we buy another one?” was her suggestion.

He finally heaved a long sigh, his hands which previously hanging in the air were down to his side. “No. It’s alright. Come on.” He walked away first, stepping over the little tragedy that was his spilled pudding, and she followed suit.

After a few steps, her giggle caught his attention. Her shoulders shook a little as she held back her laugh by biting on the small spoon of her own pudding. He raised his eyebrow, having no clue on what she was suddenly laughing about and he asked her.

“I remember something from when we were little.” Throwing him a teasing grin, she said, “You used to say this every time  you dropped your food: “It’s okay. It’s not five minutes yet”. And then you will take it from the ground and eat it with no problem.”

“Hmm. That was surely quite an old story.” He nodded absent-mindedly. That was a story back when they had been a second grade student. The saying “it’s not five minutes yet” had been quite popular among Yuuto and his circle of friend in his class.

“You still remember, right? When we were visiting amusement park, your sausage fell from the hot dog bun and you simply put it back. Your mom seriously freaked out seeing that!”

He let out a bitter laugh at the memory of his embarrassing and ridiculous moment.

“And… and you told her, “Don’t worry, Mama. It’s not five minutes yet.”” As she said that, her laughter finally exploded, earning her a more visible tint of red on Yuuto’s face.

“Shut up!” He slapped her back but that just made her laughing some more. His mouth formed a childish pout. “Geez. Drop it, will you…”

“I… I can’t!” she said between her laugh. “I just imagined you scooping up the pudding from earlier and saying that!”

He grimaced while trying to imagine the scene. “I know very well that that’s gross so no, will never do that. Thank you very much.”

Finally, her laugh subsided. Taking a deep breath, she let it out in a quick huff and nodded. “Smart decision, buddy. Smart decision,” she said and devoured another scoop of pudding. She took another one but it wasn’t directed to her mouth right away.

Yuuto felt her nudged his side and when he turned his head from the sky, a small piece of mango pudding was floating before his eyes.

“Eh?” He raised his eyebrows at her, who held the spoon up and it seemed like she was waiting for him to eat it.

“Do you want some?”

He blinked a few times until her words completely registered into his mind. He smiled cheekily. “I want that one.” He pointed to the cup of pudding in her other hand.

She snickered at him and retreated the spoon to her mouth. Now it was her turn to walk away first, with Yuuto ran after her, laughing as he keep asking for forgieness and some of her pudding.

3. Awkward
Yabu Kouta/Takaki Yuuya; fluff; G

A couple of seconds had passed since they stopped walking, and Hikaru decided to end the silence between Yabu and him by nudged the hand of that colleague of his. That action got Yabu’s full attention; the lanky college student turned his head and caught Hikaru giving him a teasing look, his wide grin as if telling him that he knew what was on his mind right now.

Warmth spreaded on Yabu’s cheeks. He averted his gaze to the floor. “S-shut up!” he said-even though Hikaru hadn’t said anything yet-in a low whisper as harsh as a whisper could be. He was relieved that they were in the university’s library, or Hikaru would have create a fuss and tease him to no end already.

“But can’t he be smarter than that? It must be hard browsing through the bookshelf with books that many in his hands, right? He should have put them down somewhere before searching for some more,” Hikaru whispered. He pointed his chin to the direction of someone at the other end of the bookshelf, who were staring at the titles written on the binder of the books, both of his hand were hugging tightly the seven thick books he brought so they wouldn’t tumble down. Although his face didn’t show any sign of trouble, Yabu concluded that that was because he wasn’t the type whose mind expressed blatantly on his face. Basically, holding thick books that many wasn’t a fun experience for everyone.

“Hey,” Hikaru said, “Why don’t you help him?”

Yabu gave him a look.”Are you sure?”

“As long as you don’t forget that we have an assignment that needs to be done by today.” He gave his colleague a playful wink. “Now, go.”

“O-oi.” Part of Yabu wanted to protest when Hikaru shoved his back. Starting a conversation was not a big deal for him, but his heart wasn’t fully ready to be the first to greet, especially when the person he was going to greet was his crush. He looked around and saw Hikaru, with his back hunched forward and a low chuckle which sounded similar to an old witch’s, sneaked his way to the other section of the library.

Yabu raised his hand as if going to throw the book in his hand to Hikaru’s direction, but he held back his intention and tsked. It was like he didn’t have any other choice. He sighed heavily.

As he made his way to his crush, he greeted, “Er… Takaki?”

His voice was as thin as the blowing wind outside the building that it almost missed Takaki’s hearing. Takaki turned his head and blinked twice, a little surprised seeing Yabu standing tall next to him. “Oh, hey, Yabu-kun. So you are here, too.”

“Yeah.”

Their brown eyes met; realizing that made Yabu’s heart pumped faster. He cursed in silence, hoping his heart would calm down a little. He wondered why he felt nervous being with Takaki alone-why he was worried that he might create an awkward atmosphere-when he used to talk to him like how normal friends did a few months ago.

Wait. I know. It’s all Hikaru’s fault.

He pressed his lips together, then he tried to smile casually, hoping that it could help lessening his nervousness.

“That’s so many books you pick,”he commented, then he held out both of his hands. “Do you need help? I can bring half of them for you.”

A/N: This is ridiculous okay. This is ridiculous. My writing skill is definitely declining T___T
