I just uploaded my Mom's reaction to the good news to my computer.
So, the reason this is so much fun is that my mom made blankets for her mom and mom-in-law to let them know she was expecting me. The two of us had gone shopping for the fabric earlier in December, but I had given her the excuse that I was making receiving blankets for my sister-in-law (who is due in May). She bought it - hook, line, and sinker! And the result was the fun squeal you heard above. Dad and brothers are more clued in now and also excited to be a grandpa and uncles, respectively.
In other news, my car decided to get intimate with the curb during yesterday's snow storm. $200 (and one MAJOR headache) later my car drives straight again. But the mechanics were awesome and fair and even stayed open late so I could pick up my car last night rather than waiting for today.
