I've got a lot to say.
So, my class is small. It takes us a bit of time to clean a whole kitchen along with the messes that the earlier class leaves.
The eight of us hardly ever make it out of the lab on time or else we cut it close.
There is always a little something left behind because we are being rushed out in order to let the next class in.
It has been happening often.
Today as soon as we get into lecture Chef writes on the board

The importance of cleanliness, timeliness, and teamwork in the kitchen. How can I do better at it?
due tomorrow.
My jaw dropped. I knew exactly the point she was getting across. I was already about to throw a fit cause the moron of the class, a.k.a. Creepy dude, didn't do the floors correctly and I had to sweep after him. I'll get to ranting about him later.
About the paper. I've thought about this. Chef does have a valid point. We could move a little faster. BUT! There are significantly fewer of us than we had in our previous labs. The loss is a little difficult to make up for. We all try our hardest to make sure everything is done properly, but it's difficult when you have multiple jobs and one member of the class has to be babysat.
Chef has been "talked to" about our sanitation. The 1:30 class apparently bitches a lot about how stuff is left behind for them to clean. Well, the class before us leaves a lot for us to clean as well but, we don't go around bitching without doing anything. We get the job done and then complain.
All but one person in our class works very hard and we turn out good product. There are very high goals set for us in lab as well. Most of the time we ca't acheive them because there is a mad rush in the last 15 minutes of class to clean every nook and cranny. Along with our dishes and properly cleaning our wood block tables correctly.
Again! chef has a valid point! We could always work a little harder at cleaning. But when she stretches even thinner by giving us more baking related tasks she really pulls hard and we start to tear and we aren't a very well oiled machine anymore.
Which leads me into my next topic...
This normally well oiled machine has one gear that sticks. He just stands there and will usually only do something if he's directly told. He is the biggest failure of the class. I'm not entirerly sure how he's made it through to the third phase but I'm pretty sure it was based on his attendance. He was there almost everyday but he didn't do shit! Entering this school I've come to judge even less based on appearance, but this guy scream creeper! Not to mention he is actually a sex offender. The orders he does obey are usually with much malice.
In the first phase while practicing knife cuts for a practical he had been muttering and the girl next to him asked him to stop and he yelled, "BITCH!" at her. There were even more incidents than that in the first phase. Second phase was less, but he still didn't take kindly to being ordered around. Today, he had been assigned to do the floors by himself. That is not that much of a job. The floor isn't much compared to a mass of dishes. He didn't sweep he just grabbed the mop muttering, "Someone else could pick up a fucking mop and help." and other things like that. What I have to say to that is, "YOU DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE ALL FUCKING DAY AND YOU BTICH ABOUT THIS?!?!!? WE'RE ALL RUNNING AROUND LIKE CRAZY! PROBABLY CLEANING THE DISHES YOU JUST DUMP IN THE SINK WHILE MAKING SURE YOU DO YOUR JOB CORRECTLY! AND YOU COMPLAIN!" I mean for christ sake I broke a sweat with how much I was running around all day. I never broke a sweat in the other 2 phases unless I was watching over something that was hot! This man doesn't know the meaning of work! I don't know how the fuck he gets along in the real world, but I usually do the job and bitch while doing my damn best at it! Like now. Writing this paper AND bitching online. Look how much I can accomplish in a half hour. 2 paragraphs and they're all BS. Take that!
I should stop before I get out of hand.
