As far as I can tell, most of the Dolphin Ring series is available in ebook (in the US, at least) with the exception of Sword at Sunset and Sword Song.

Weirdly, I checked just now and the "trilogy" and SaS are available, but someone is complaining about Kindle editions of her other books disappearing from Amazon. So those that have copies should, uh, keep circulating the tapes, I guess.

Ooh, I didn't know SAS was available for Kindle. *click click BUY* Though, yeah, the rest of them seem to be gone. How sad. I swear they were there before. Glad I got them while they were up.

It's not just Amazon - they're no longer listed on Barnes & Noble's Nook section, nor are they listed on the old US ebook publisher's page. It's not just the obscurer Dolphin Ring books, the same publisher had ebook versions of non-series Sutcliff titles like Mark of the Horse Lord and Knight's Fee that are now unavailable as well. I'm guessing Namelos must only have had the ebook rights for a set period of time, and it's now expired?

Square Fish has published The Eagle of the Ninth, The Silver Branch, The Lantern Bearers in a nice matched set as well.

Yay! Dawn Wind is a particular favorite of mine. Very pleased more people will have a chance to read it.

Yes, I really liked it when I finally got a hold of it. It may not be Roman or slashy enough to become a fandom favourite, but there's so much going on in it, even at a pretty domestic scale, and whatshisface the weird petty antagonist is one of my favourite Sutcliff characters.

And I'm magpieishly pleased about a shiny new edition. Wish someone would get the rights together and sell the whole series as a matched set, since confusion seems eternal about which ones 'count'.

Oh they so should! I have a whole shelf of them now and I don't think I have ONE that matches with the rest, they are so higgledy and random. A proper set of the whole series, and a proper set of ebooks would be excellent.

Yes, I'll certainly snap it up if it materialises, since I don't think this one's been in print since the eighties. I recommend it, finances permitting. It's not one my absolute favourites plot-wise, but thematically - it's the only one that deals with Saxons as ordinary people, for instance - it really adds a lot to the sequence.
