I borrowed it from the East Asian Studies library of my university, but you might find it in a regular library. The book is Major Plays of Chikamatsu, by Donald Keene. The story itself is very old, but this is his translation. :) It's great!
No worries!! I'll wait forever for a fic like this!! :))))
GAH!! There's just so much to say about this chap!! I mean, yes, the description of the play was super awesome, but DAMN, the little instances where Jae was (slightly) showing Yunho affection were AMAZING!!! Hehehehe!! I mean, it may seem like the actions are barely even there, but for Jae's character, they're HUGE!!!
*sigh* Like this part:
"Not much long after, slender fingers ghost against my backside lightly and in an instant they’re gone, almost making me wonder whether they really were there a second ago. But there’s no mistaking the very distinct fragrance and the imposing presence, the tangible air of superiority that would make a lot of people crawl out of harm’s way but that don’t scare me at all, that actually makes the thought of staying to challenge its owner nothing short of irresistible."
Eeeeeeeeeeeee!! Jae conveys so much with just a little playful butt grope he conveying, "I want you Yunho!" Well, that's what I got from it!! LOL!! And man, I
( ... )
It's true that Jaejoongie is showing hints here and there about his affection for Yunho, and this IS a big step for him (even though he DOES give himself permission to molest him from time to time). XD I like how Yunho always challenges him, though. :')
I really get NO credit for the play. I merely rephrased it (because I asked for permission to use the integral text but I got no news about it for now). But it's similar to the translation by Donald Keene (though the original play in itself is old). I omitted a lot, because it was getting too long, but I had to include my favorite excerpt because it's beautiful. ♥
There's a reason why I wrote this rehearsal scene, but you'll know that letter. Can't tell you yet, but I have a lot planned! ;)
I don't mind your "pervertedness" (I've seen worse, trust me). Will try to give you what you're waiting for as soon as I can. :D Thanks for reading!
eheh love it ... as always xD told you it would be worth all the waiting. And please, next time you came up with something like "I think it's good enough"... just update without think that :P
Wow :) that was powerful <3 nice job bb! Now I know why it took you so long to post this xD but I'm glad that jaejoong was sweet to yunho in the end ^w^ he DOES have a soul LOL Thanks for posting ^^
Was it? Ahhh... I kept postponing my update because I wanted to work on it some more, but I didn't have much time for it... :( I'm glad you liked it! Jaejoong sure is a little devil, ha ha... But he loves Yunho, so he can't be TOO mean... just enough. ;) Thanks for reading!
Whether they kiss in the play or not, they definitely WILL in the future haha ^^ It is indeed a tragic story. I invite you to read it if you can! :) Thanks!
Well, as I said at the beginning of the fic (which probably no one read XD): "I used part of Donald Keene's translation of the Double Suicides, written by Chikamatsu (based on a true story that happened in the 18th century. I rewrote the whole play, though some parts are similar, seeing how it was hard to rephrase everything. This is by no means as gorgeous as the original translation; go read it if you can!" ^^
