I went back to Indian Valley again today with a hunting partner and I think I lied. I'm going to give it a few more chances though I still didn't see anything. I did see a bunch of scat that looked like it could be from pigs and beds and possible tracks. Unfortunately none of them were definate signs and I didn't see any obvious wallows, rooting ( Read more... )

The Office is the next dvd in our Netflix queque. i heard rave reviews, too. but i dig british humor unless they are making jokes about the royal family, and in that case, it's boring.

I was curious how many copies of each thing they had. Maybe I'll keep it for awhile and see if it delays you at all. Mwa Ha HA!!

Hmm....we need to get a whole bunch of people and put in a request for some obscure title and see how the wait list changes. Just to satisfy my curiosity.

The office is a show you need to watch with your full attention, the humor is not the kind that flies out and hits you in the face to remind you when to laugh. I really like it.

Yes. I figured you would be one of those people who loved it. If I haven't told you lately how much I love you then let now be the time.

hee. :) Give it a second try, and watch more than the first episode. I like the teambuilding one best (#4, I think) and Tim's birthday/Pub Quiz was the most painful (#3?).

I will, but like I said, it will have to be with Jen. She appreciates that kind of stuff.

If you want a pig hunting partner that can be quiet, let me know.

I do but we live so far apart, though you are pretty close to Monterrey county which, according to statistics, is the motherload of pig hunting in the state. Did you know that Monterrey county accounts for over 50% of all pig taken in the state, though it is down from an all time high of over 70%? Hmm...maybe I can take a Friday night off and spend the weekend there and we can find the public land that the pigs are taken in Santa Cruz county. They have the best public land ratio in the state. Last year 14 were taken on public land and 31 taken on private land. That compares with 9 and 93 in the county I was hunting and 0 and 43 where I live. Let me know. I'm definately interested.

I'll look into it and let you know. I wonder if I could use my SKS to hunt pigs. I really need to get a proper rifle.

Cool. I quick search on google yielded this article.

This part is particularly interesting:

The 7.62x39 round carved its niche in Australia as a pig hunting round, and feral animals such as goats, pigs and dogs would be well within the capabilities of both the round and the rifle. So would many of the smaller species of deer that have been introduced to this country.
