Basil is considered an annual, so it's lived out its live span. The rosemary, however, is perennial, so will keep on growing...er, as long as you keep it from getting choked out by weeds like your oxalis!

The oxalis is the clover-like stuff? It's pretty and lush. I pulled some away from the rosemary though. Can I use the seed pods on the dead basil to replant? I guess I'll have to plant alot of it to make it last a year then, huh?

You can use the seed pods to grow new basil plants, if there are seeds still in it. Chances are they already fell onto the ground, so maybe you'll be getting new plants already (but aren't surviving because the oxalis overtaking them!). You only need one to survive for a new plant...

Or just buy a new basil seedling, they're pretty cheap. Maybe $1?
