Missing him
.LeeTeuk took a step forward out of building, the place where his apartment is, in a sunny Tuesday. He drove by a bus to his job and tried his best to smile happily. That day’s evening he didn’t forget to cross off another day in a calendar. Exactly ninety days left. Then he checks what’s new on TV and read newspaper and lays on bed for hours before falls asleep. It’s a bit lonely alone in a big apartment what’s for two.
.He plays piano, his own, what’s placed in his room, in a right corner and gazes at picture in a silver frame on it. His thin fingers don’t stop and plays almost nonstop, the same old melody he insisted to learn from Kyuhyun that time. Still here wasn’t anyone to hear and say ‘beautiful’ how he was used to hear from him. That evening LeeTeuk cross off another day, and there is left sixty seven, still.
.LeeTeuk buys grocery, only for one sadly, but almost forgets that when he puts in his shopping bag snacks which he didn’t eat, but Kyu thought is the best. He buys them anyway, who knows maybe it will be in some use. Later he watches TV and reads newspaper again, makes dinner and don’t forget to cross off another day. Thirty two, still.
.Heechul talks something about alien obsessed DongHae and ShiWon, something simply nonsense and something true. LeeTeuk smiled and nodded and didn’t forget to sip his cup of tea while it’s hot. The rain outside didn’t make any of feelings better and princess’s blabbering wasn’t in a better use.
“You should hang out with us more often.” Heechul suddenly states and LeeTeuk fakes surprise, he simply has nothing to say back.
“I…I’m already.”
“Such a small excuse. It’s no use to act like this when you know he is going to return. I’m sure he’ll better like to see you smiling and in a good health.”
“I don’t know what are you talking about.” LeeTeuk avoids his gaze and hides behind the cup, and pretends to drink.
“You know very well, and besides I see what’s going on.”
“How?”
Heechul almost laughs, “I have eyes too. Think about it.” he stands up and only then remembered to add, “And by the way I tried to brighten your mood, but seem that I failed.” He left and LeeTeuk could only think how wrong he was about Heechul in some ways.
That evening he called Kyuhyun, talked with him, and for once didn’t act stronger than he actually was. Afterwards he called Heechul and arranged a meeting with his friends and does things he usually didn’t do, forgetting about his sleeping time. And there is twenty one day left.
.He returned from work exhausted but somehow happy, kind of excited about something or someone, maybe himself. He found the reason of his secret happiness by looking in a calendar. Tomorrow is the day Kyuhyun returns. Afterwards he does forget to cross it off or eat his dinner or watch TV. He remembered a melody and sang it to himself, probably off key and wrong words, probably simply something new, but everything inside felt so light. That night he fell asleep with a smile on his face.
