Political parties and soft drink

A fairly uninspiring election is looming in Queensland. I had thought that the Pauline Hanson v Warwick Capper battle in Beaudesert would have provided some trashy Jerry-Springer-style entertainment (while some largely-ignored mainstream candidate cruised to victory unnoticed) but Capper failed to get his nomination in on time.

I love L&P. The best soft drink in the universe, bar none.

The only problem is how difficult it is to get - I wish they sold it in our local Woolie's...

This election needs more Hanson vs Capper jelly-wrestling smackdown.

And personally, I'm just being traumatised by seeing huge pictures of Anna Bligh (Am I the only one who's disappointed that they didn't make her governor?) staring out at me from unexpected places.

Hm, how long ago did you have it? I only ask because it was one of the things I made sure to have again while I was in NZ recently. Sadly, I found that the taste has changed for me. It seems more sugary than it did. Three things could have caused this:
- nostalgia could make it seem to taste better than it actually did
- my tastes have likely changed since I was 12
- since Coca-Cola Amatil has now taken over L & P entirely, the recipe may have changed slightly.

Whatever the reason, I was quite disappointed to find that I no longer love L & P.
