I won! The giblets came right out this year....usually they are frozen inside the turkey....even if the bird itself is thawed! We had a great Thanksgiving.

I hope your Thanksgiving was a warm and special one!

I like to give thanks for things that seem pleasing, but I am also trying to be thankful in general, even for the ugly or mundane stuff. Like the way the laces tie in my shoes. The piles of raking I still have to do. My relataives being their usual stubborn, strange selves. In other words, all of life, not just the parts I've deemed to be "good."

Me too! I think it comes with age....we get old enough to understand that the bad times and the good times make us who we are.....and that being grateful for it all makes for a happier soul.
