At long last, my thoughts on the Veronica Mars season finale! This is possibly the longest LJ entry I have ever written. I didn't intend it to be so detailed, and I hope it's not too pedantic. Thanks for the thorough and very intresting analysis of Beaver vs DSM-IV. It definitely helped illuminate some of my nagging doubts about the whole Cassidy as mass murderer and rapist. As I had remarked earlier in someone else's journal (I think in Hap's) this year's conclusion/reveal felt somehow force-fitted to me. Kyle G was amazing and I will miss him and I'm with on on the scene on the roof.

PS the plane exploding *was* just like a dream, as was the most famous plane explosion ever (9/11), and I think that is one of the things that really works about the episode for me, the way it resonates with the brilliant dream sequence. Speaking of wishes for next year, man does RT need and deserve a longer time slot for his season finale.

I see what you mean, because, to me, it also had the flavor of a kid destroying a toy from Beav's pov, sort of the polar opposite of Wallace with his plane in the pilot.

Your fact-filled explanation sums up what my uneducated thoughts were -- entirely. I think we pretty much had the exact reaction to the finale.
