Thanks for posting that, suzied. That's horrible about the child being taken away from his parents. It is so obviously a police tactic to intimidate and scare protesters. It's really sick.

Are local people demanding an apology from the police? Has there been any uproar? Is there anything in the news about it?
What fucking pigs, really. Well, they have just made themselves another enemy, at the tender age of 3.

Wow.

Didn't hear about the kid part, but I did see the bit about the house occupation and the politician. He signed a paper (which ended the house occupation as I understand it from the news program) and verbally stated what he was signing - that the house would be made into low income housing within the month or he'd resign his position. Not that I think the housing is a bad idea, but I dont know I'd make promises like that given the way the government works. Apparantly corrections owns the house/property, and it hasn't been occupied in (I think) a couple years.

Boy, the things they dont show, though by the sounds of this it probably was after.
