Hey - I'm planning to stay in a Motel 6 tonight near Chicago tonight. Can anyone tell me if there's neighbourhoods I should aim for or avoid? My options for a cheapo place seem to be ( Read more... )

YAY! Thanks for adding me and I LOVE your name!!!

We are home ok, tho I'm still in my jammies from when I got home YESTERDAY at 5am LOL I've been jammied for 33 hours!!

AFAIK, the hotel did not charge me, but I'm checking my mastercard statement to be sure they weren't just lying. They seemed kind of...."off" there :-P

I am glad that they didn't charge you. For all of the runaround, they definitely should not have. I still can't believe they actually had to manually go around checking to see if there were actually people in the rooms! That is crazy!

I am glad everything worked out well and that you are home safely. :)
