Frikkin' frakken cold out there. We've lost a robin. It hit our window, and sat on the fence for a little while. Then it fell off... Into the neighbour's yard, thankfully, so I can be a little vague about whether or not it'll live. R wanted to go out to get it. Poor thing, even if it survives the hit, it'll die of exposure today :

It's so crappy out there today that I drove V to school rather than walk! On the upside, since we were out by car, we stopped by a White Rose and bought some peat pellets and trays so we can get some seeds started. Too bad it'll never be warm enough out for us to plant them OUTSIDE :-P

Vilmos just called... The 401 is closed between Milton and Guelph. He's just gotten off the highway now, but doesn't expect he'll be home for dinner.

...he'd planned to be home before the roads got really bad, and in time to finish up some work via internet before the office closed. Now, he figures he'll be home in time to put the kids to bed. Yucky, yucky weather...

I just heard there was a big pileup over that way (on the 401) - the roads aren't too bad now, tho.
