Now you see how far a little loving kindness can go -- and here I was being criticized for suggesting that one spread the love... so much so that I felt I had to privatize the post in which I suggested that one

"Find somebody you really despise. Someone who truly makes you froth at the mouth, -- they are so wrong-headed, ignorant, hateful, rotten, evil, nasty slime, etc. etc. etc.

Give them a kiss, or a hug. Find something that is making them miserable, or maybe just annoying them a bit, and fix it. Or anyhow write them a loving letter. You can even do it anonymously (well, kissing and hugging may present some logistical problems)."

Thank you, Sue, for your spirit of Christian Love and Fellowship -- I suppose not everyone remembers that the Bible contains Proverbs 25:21-22 and Romans 12:20-21, and not just Matthew 5:43-48... [grin]

I knew of the existence of that passage, but I didn't know of the emphasis placed on it by it showing up twice. If it had been in two of the Gospels, well, stuff gets duplicated there. But in Romans too? Gosh...he must really have meant it. :-)
