Maia knocked softly on the door and took a deep breath. She knew what was coming, she'd known all summer it was coming. "Susan it's Maia. Can I come in?" She said to the door.
Maia opened the door and walked in. Her eyes flicked to the brochures, her hands in her pockets. "How's it going?" She said looking around at the room. A tight but sad smile on her face.
Ivanova was off the bed and crossing the room to her, slipping her arms around Maia's waist. "I'm leaving on Wednesday," she said without preamble, as if that should be all the indication as to her mood that was necessary.
