River had woken early and slipped out of the bedroom. Or Blair's bedroom to be correct. Since their arrival, River had claimed to have bad dreams or being afraid of being alone, and spent the night in Blair's room. Spending the night in this case meant just sleeping in the same room, but at least that was an improvement to their relationship.
Hummin happily to herself, River wandered down to the restaurant in search of breakfast. Blair would probably sleep a little longer, but she was happy enough to spend some time on her own.
She found a table and ordered a cup of tea - the coffee here was a little odd - and a chocolate croissant. Placing her drawing pad on the table, she began sketching the outlines of the Babylon 5 station while sipping her tea.
River heard the voice speak out loud. That didn't alarm her. The way it was amplified in her mind did however. Not loud, it was controlled, but it was there.
She tried turning all her attention towards her drawing, shutting out the world around her.
Bester's eyes swept over the restaurant. He felt something . . . off. There was a hole in his perception. He did not like this, probing out with his mind for the source of the problem.

The blankfaced station security officer shadowing Bester didn't speak. His companion just smirked.
"Tsk tsk. I thought a sense of humour was required to work here nowadays."
