huh. I love the veneta, but you're right, it needs to go in a giants house... geez, why is everything with home remodling difficult?

It's only difficult if you think you'll look at things later and say "what was I thinking?"

My co-worker is involved with the decorating end of the business; she selects fabrics and wall coverings and such. I'm amazed that people just look at a few samples, listen to her rationale, and just say "um .. ok. THAT one." And that's it!

I think that if you have to choose between "too big" and "trying too hard" I'd definitley go with "trying too hard".

I can't get over those giant faucets! People who have those must only use them to fill things (glasses, pots, vases) and not wash things. I can imagine how far the water would splash if you were rinsing a plate with the water falling such a long distance.
