*happy sigh*

This is amazingly beautiful, Suzu. Simply stunning. A beautiful cover for a beautiful story, written by, as you said, a wonderfully generous person.

More Joy Day is every day, because joy shouldn't be constrained to a single day a year. We tend to forget that, I think.

Thank you for sharing.

I was so excited, I posted this comment to your noticeboard post instead of here. Duh! But I was overcome! So I'm reposting here, even though I have not yet calmed down. :)

Eeeeeeeeeee! Now I see it! It's beautiful!!! I LOVE the colors, and that totally does look like a Daniel Smith deep blue (soooo beautiful! glowing and deep and layered) and Ray's a stained-glass angel! And Fraser has the glove on and is looking at the feather and is not seeing that Ray is an ANGEL, hello! :)

I love it! You did a fabulous job with The Uniform indeed. Also, Ray is wearing his bracelet. I'm not sure why that makes me inordinately happy, but it does!

I have to add that I adore the sense of depth, with Fraser in the foreground, and I love what you did with the title, etc. It is a beautiful, perfect cover for the fic, and I'm completely delighted. \suzu/

In sum, know thou that I squeed mightily. {\o/} <--That's Paul Gross Arms--with wings. :)

I didn't invent that. A bunch of us were figuring out the winged PG arms a few years ago. Maybe Mergatrude would remember.

Don't know where to respond, so I will in both locations.

Thank you, js. For joy.

This is absolutely stunning. You've captured not just Ray and Fraser but the spirit of the story as well. Fraser especially stands out to me. His posture, his intensity, his hairline are perfect. I can't stop staring.

Thank you so much.

Thanks, andeincascade. Isn't it a lovely story?

I tried to make Fraser unambiguously "real," and Ray is somewhere between real and ideal. But you know Ray, he just can't stay in the frame, he's always got to move, to dance, to fly...

Thanks, wihluta. It means a lot to hear that. I was a bit shy to post it, so I appreciate your kind words.

Chiming in because I have to say that with skills like yours you should never be shy to post. Okay? I love it that you're making fanart and I enthusiastically encourage much more! :)

Well, since you bring that up...I'm looking forward to making a cover for lucifuge_5's Help_Haiti fic, AND for the podfic I've been hoping to do for one by Dessert_First. So, if on the way home from the 27th one day, any of you see either of these two typing away, make sure you let them know how PRETTY they look next to their keyboards, and be sure to give their Muses lots of baked goods.

Thanks, though. Inhibited suzu is inhibited.

Wow. I haven't read the story yet, but that is absolutely gorgeous. Really, I can't stop looking. I love the texture of Fraser's uniform--it looks so real. And Ray in a stained-glass window is lovely.

Hey luzula, thank you. You must read the story, it's brilliant. Plus kind of smexy. And a little melancholy too. Go, read, asap.

That uniform was pretty tough to figure out. What goes over, and under, what. Like a medieval knot-work pattern. Kind of fascinating really.

Dude, I just listened to "Feathers" again last night, and...GUHHHHH. Now THAT'S a great wingfic. Beautiful imagery, and really, really hot, too. Just figured I'd mention it. And maybe Suzu would like it, if she hasn't seen/heard it yet.

Suzu: The link to the audiofic page has the link to the fic, too. :)

Hey, thanks! "Feathers" was a lot of fun to write. And I still remember it fondly as the first time I wrote Ray K POV.
