Depends very much on the plants, but in general sow in spring, and harvest throughout summer and autumn. I know there are a few veg that you can plant late summer early autumn for a winter harvest (generally leafy greens like lettuce and spinach). I've got a back garden full of potatoes at the minute! And of course if you got an allotment now you could be diggin and preparing the soil for winter crops... ;^)

Also - good to see you're still around. I was away from Wednesday evening until yesterday evening, so I had to spend 2 days without web access hoping everyone was okay...

wheeeee. I have dozens of tomatoes on my plants (well, perhaps *a* dozen spread over 6 plants).

I have no allotment, but i do have a balcony and growbags. And strawberries and peas and spring onions and shallots and peppers. Go me! :o)

I went with the 'shaving legs' option today.

I'm a bit of a funny one with free time; I tend not to book of chock full of things, but be spontaneous about how O spend it, depending on my mood at the time.

Legs: Well, can it be seen, and could you potentially turn this strange activity into a bit of "me time". Things involving getting wet are generally nicer in this weather.

On the crops, I'd just like to say "OOOoo!" and "AAarr!" and "I knows a man what could elp y with yr diggen!"

...and English would say, "we have tea"; Americans, "we've got tea".
