Am simultateously ecstatic and terrified. Yes! I will be distracting myself from that by rereading HBP and being busy reacting to that book as I wait.

I rather liked what McGonagall vs. Umbridge we did get in the film, actually. Most of what was cut seemed well-judged to make a better film.

For some reason, I really don't feel like reading any of the books. I do feel a very strong urge to read lots of fanfic, though, which I haven't done much of in three years or so.

I'm looking forward less to rereading HBP than I was OotP, but rereading the books has become a tradition for me, and I do find it useful for refreshing my grasp of details. Conversely, I decided long ago to wait for the end of book 7 to read any HP fanfic, but happy reading!

Just saw the film, would agree with pretty much everything. Will add: I loved Snape (but, of course!).

Are MWP(P)S getting together for the last time?

I had fun, during OotP, mentally pasting Paul McGann's face over David Thewlis' every time Lupin was onscreen. :D
