Title: Tricks of the Trade

“Guinevere, have you seen my- oh.” Arthur stopped in the doorway as his eyes fell on his girlfriend.
His girlfriend in nothing but his suit jacket.
Staring up at him from their bed.
“You were looking for something?” Her features were schooled into an innocent expression.
“I ... er....” he garbled.
“This?” Arthur, captivated by glimpses of her bare flesh, could only nod. “I suppose you need it for tonight….” She made to remove the jacket, but within moments Arthur had taken over.
“Okay, forget the dinner,” he said. Gwen flashed him a pleased smile as his lips met hers.

"You’ve got to be kidding me." Arthur stared miserably at his card.
"It's not that bad," Gwen reassured him.
"You don't have to play dead for the next four hours!"
“Yeah, pretty unlucky that,” Merlin said, barely pulling off a sympathetic tone. He straightened his fake mustache.
Morgana threw Arthur a frighteningly innocent smile. “You know, it’s really up to you when this night ends….”
Arthur narrowed his eyes at his sister. “I’m not helping you cheat, Morgana.”
“And how did you find out again?” Merlin cut in. Arthur had the decency to blush.
“The sooner the mystery’s solved,” Morgana continued, “the sooner you and Gwen-”
“It was Leon,” Arthur answered immediately.
Gwen rolled her eyes. “You really are hopeless, aren’t you?” she said, but her words couldn’t hide the smile tugging at her lips.

"But it's wood." Merlin raised both eyebrows, looking terribly unimpressed. "What about splinters?"
Gwen had anticipated this. Deciding to take pity on her boyfriend, she pulled a metal skewer from her bag. "Here, Arthur.”
“You really shouldn’t coddle him,” Morgana mused from her spot next to the campfire. “It’s bad enough he brought an inflatable mattress.”
“Baby steps,” Gwen winked at her friend. She settled next to Arthur, who pulled her close and murmured, “Thanks.”
“Mhmm.”
“And the mattress?”
“Not a chance in hell.”

A/N: Between the fic I posted a couple of months ago and the last Mini Challenge, I'm starting to think I'm a mite bit obsessed with accidental stalker Arthur.... And surprise, surprise, no longer meets the word limit either.
When Gwen pressed shuffle, Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi” was the last song she expected to hear. “Your music interests have certainly changed since yesterday.”
“Merlin must have gotten a hold of my iPod again,” Arthur grumbled. “Of all the music!”
“Oh, I don’t know,” Gwen said. She reached over and turned up the stereo. “This song seems rather fitting for us, don’t you think?”
Arthur blushed but managed to keep his eyes on the road. “It was only that once.”
“Arthur, you had Merlin hack British Air’s database so you could get on my flight,” she said, patting his free hand. “Once was enough.”
