Thank you, I spent a long time writing and rewriting and didn't finish it until the morning of the funeral. My brother, uncle, and priest also spoke and I think it was a really fitting tribute to my dad. I want to do more comics and other random art/puzzles that will be part of a Fung and Us School text or Activity book. The deer wasn't charred, I think that's just where the skin was hairless on the edges of the opening.
Thanks for the condolences, Mike. I'm doing my best to stay positive and handle it in a helpful way. I'm trying to make drawing a consistent priority. If I do a little every day I finish things and improve. I'm currently running 15-20 miles a week, with my longest runs about 8 miles. I think in December I was running too many days in a row and also not getting enough sleep for my body to properly recover. I'm actually very relieved it doesn't seem to be something more chronic or need surgery to correct. The reading I did online after it was hurting for weeks had me really worried. I plan to get a smartphone anytime now (will be nice to have it to take a lot of pictures on the runs, too). I'm very much looking forward to the spring and getting back to some real treks where I can take food and water and be gone half the day.

I love your comics.
Was the deer carcass charred on top?
