Alex glanced around, waiting for her knight in shimmering leather to sweep her off her feet. When nothing happened, she glared at the feminine woman who had taken over her desk.
“So where the hell’s my girlfriend?”
“She went searching for you. But she never returned.” Fin said quietly. He nodded towards the woman with the femullet. “Have you met her replacement, Detective Hargenson?”
