So...
..episode!
Hunh.
I got through the whole week entirely unspoiled, except for a vague idea that this was going to be an unStabler episode. So I was really quite surprised when it featured no bloody knuckles, no popping veins, no perp-slams, no *nothing*. This version of unStabler is a lot more like S2 St. Liv, circa "Abuse": breaking twenty million laws to save some Poor Unfortunate Soul. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, if Stabler remains reasonably sane it means we get to keep him for another season, which is good. But if he does not have random fits of apoplectic rage, we are missing out on a certain sexiness which is totally wrong but nevertheless real. Conflicteeeeed!
Also, when did Casey's voice get all low and sultry and hot? I mean, she's no Abbie yet, but I was really enjoying listening to her talk anyway. Despite the fact that she does tend to get exaggeratedly floored whenever a witness does one of those patented L&O reversals on the stand. I kept thinking the other lawyer was going to object when she kept basically testifying *for* the witness (is she allowed to say "Read the part where you said you saw your son that night"? I wouldn't know, but Alex never did, so I'm going with probably not, because I miss Alex and if I flatter her and worship the ground she walked on enough she might come back). But maybe he was enjoying watching her get screwed. Poor Casey. And was it my shit TV reception or was she actually decently dressed today?
ALSO also, am I the only one getting more-than-incidental Casey/Elliot HetYay these days? My test for Yay is to mentally transpose Olivia and Alex into a given scene and try to figure out how much I would have squeed and jumped around. I feel like I would have done a lot of squeeing and jumping around tonight. Hm.
