Yedan obviously doesn't see the whole picture, how extremely lucky they are.

"What lights?" Gade blinks, giving the console a sidelong look, eyes widening as he starts to panic. "Oh, no. It's activated. With these coordinates!"

"WE MUST RUN!!!"

"Er ... was that too dramatic? Seemed too dramatic."

He wasn't supposed to do this yet, but hey. He can always blame blaster misfire if people complain.

Why is it, Wedge wonders when the walking piece of trash comes into the prison he's been thrown into, that he is forever plagued by over-talkative enemies? He decides to ignore Loka - the pleasure of killing him (again) will be enough happy anticipation to put up with a little grandstanding.

Then Loka boasts about killing Wedge's parents.

Whatever calm, cool-headed thoughts that were in Wedge's head vaporize.

"Loka! You..." Wedge snarls ferally as he charges the bars of his prison, intent on strangling the life out of his parents' murderer.

There's a long pause after he hits the bars of his cell.

"Oh, the pain?"

Plourr is staring at Loka Hask.

Or, more accurately, at the giant thing on his face.

"You think if someone popped that zit, his face'd explode?"

Loka taps on Wedge's cell to get his attention.

"I don't really deserve this cold attitude, Wedge. After all, I did you the biggest favor of your life! Oh, don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about! I got you what every boy secretly desires! I got rid of your parents for you! Admit it, Wedge! Who liberated you? Who made you a man? I did! I wish someone had done the same thing for me when I was your age! But no! I had to do all by myself! And I seem to be stuck in exclamations! And possibly questions? This is insane! Does this galaxy not have statements? What the hell, Stackpole?!?!?!"

"Now I take you to see Nasta!" Nasta is special. He gets extra emphasis.

Anyway. Koya heads quickly across the rope bridge, sliding away the cloth covering the entrance to the hut and poking her head in.
"Hi, Nasta. These are ..." Koya frowns. "Nasta? Er, Nasta? Are you there?"

Beat.

"Huh. Guess we need to come back later."
