Uh oh. Sounds like you've been exposed to some real winners. My sympathies! Did you mock them openly?

How are you doing? I'm moving into an LA hostel on May 12, at least until I find an apt for me and Holly. Are you still bound for NYC?

YAY! You sure can! I think they have a no-guests policy (they treat you like a teenager, but it's cheap, so...), though. But I'd love to chill over coffee/booze somewhere with you for hours on end. I was thinking of you just yesterday, in fact, wondering how you were doing in the face of your upcoming move. Are you having as many anxiety attacks as I am? Or are you cool and focused like a jedi knight? We're both very brave. Or reckless. Or something. sladkfjslkdfj

hahaha, are you kidding me? Anxiety attacks galore skdfjsijf. in my more hysterical, unreasonable moments I envision myself as one of those children in fairy-tales--or worse, a little cartoon mouse in an old Disney cartoon, with a wooden pole and polka dotted handkerchief containing all my worldly possessions slung over one shoulder... "So long Papa, I'm off to the capital to seek my fortune!" trudging off into the sunset, the family cow lowing sadly after me, the end credits scrolling... my move strikes me as being tainted with a similar over-literal naiveté that seems out of place, especially now, when everyone my age is being so very savvy and smart and not doing anything like this at all.

in other words I'm secretly proud of myself and also somewhat embarrassed. and if I were someone else I should be openly proud of myself and not quite so embarrassed--as I am proud of you!
