School's In!

Everyone is now sorted out into school. Sam left Saturday for Boston, and a piece of my heart went with him. I already miss him terribly, but I'm excited for him too... He has an amazing 4 years ahead of him, living in Cambridge and studying art in Boston. http://web.lesley.edu/aib/ ( Read more... )

thanks for such a wonderful update. i've missed you. i can't imagine sending the first child off to college! and so far from home...but as you know, Boston rocks :) it's obviously no New York, and let's not discuss their sports fans ;-) but yeah, it's great. I hope it works out with Beth too. That's awesome about Marisa and the violin. And Brennan should talk to Cristina about the horses; he wants to start riding. The boys don't start school till the 12th here; it sounds like Gabe is going to have a great year (where in NJ did the teacher work?)

Hey thanks for keeping us up to date. I've been wondering how Tony's doing, btw. Hope things are going better. So much great energy at your house! You know, I *AM* only 2 hrs away if Sam and Beth need a breath out of city. So cool that Marisa's violin is beautifully going forward. (I think of her and Cristina in my imagined picture of them everytime Miette, and now Ivy, wear their high quality hand me downs :)

Miette and Ivy are into the horse thing, as are all the kids around here. Sad, but I still haven't managed them dance classes so I'm thinking the horse thing will have to wait for now, although OMG Miette is past 9.5 now............reading her friend's "Chicken Soup for the Pre-Teen Soul"

Laura, you gave me an idea (and maybve you all are doing it already) - wouldn't it be cool to have our kids emailing back and forth?

well, anyway, Katherine so good to hear from you.

love

anne

Lovely update, thanks! It's hard to imagine my little two-year-old ever reaching these amazing stages, but of course he will, G-d willing.

I would love to meet Sam & Beth sometime. We've cultivated the habit of having guests for Sunday brunch. Maybe the next time you're in town to visit Sam... :)

I know what you mean about catching up! The LJ format makes this difficult for me. It sounds like the kids are on the right tracks. I hope you have had some luck with the job hunt.
