Yeah but when you download music you're not going around posting it and claiming it as your own or making money off it, you're just listening to it and enjoying it ;)
aghhh that pisses me off so much. the blatant copying is bad enough, but the ones where Urban Outfitters changed artists' designs a little and then marketed them themselves is even worse because technically it's legal. *fume* i don't understand why people and companies think this is okay to do. so someone else thought of a cool design that you want? too bad. if you like it that much, why don't you pay them to put their art on things. :[ aghh. i had no idea UO did this kind of shit; i definitely won't shop there anymore.
as for the music.. well that's a different thing. whether you think it's illegal/morally okay or not is a totally different debate, but it's not the same as this because you're not claiming the music as your own or anything.
i was surprised about the UO thing too...it pisses me off coz this crap happens all the time. and who has the most 'power' usually comes out as the 'creator' of whatever was ripped :(
