It truly is. I need to weave the trail into my day-to-day routine.

Question, who names all these trails and why certain names in particular? (I am thinking of Trinidad, for example) are they arbitrary or is there method in the madness?

Anyhow, awesome as alays. Do you need me to say this?! Haha.

Glad to see the weather is getting grim there, although after the past couple of days I've een more fog than I can stomach.

3/4/5/6 will surely bring Ildjarn out of retirement.

Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. culling break.

The name Ma-l'el comes from the language of the Wiyot Tribe, a local native American population, from what I gather. Trinidad, on the other hand, was named by Spanish captains, Heceta and Bodega, on Trinity Sunday 1775. They named the port La Santisima Trinidad and claimed the area for Spain ("since there was no hostile resistance from the Yurok people"). There might be some method or madness, but regardless, researching the various names throughout the region make for nice mini-history dosages.

Thank you very much, and the validation never hurts!

Aww, sick of fog? I could never.

Maybe I should make an Ildjarn-inspired dedicated photo collection.

The break was overly eventful, and for reason beyond my control, was not able to make it to Oregon. All is well now, though. Do you have a break at the moment, or an upcoming one?

You should take some photos and share if you get the chance to. That isn't meant to imply that I don't wholeheartedly endorse being bombarded by your text entries. ;)
