A Question of Household Vortexes

Mar 06, 2006 17:55

There is a vortex in my house. A perplexing magnetic field that draws a compilation of amazing things into it. The heights and nature of its inner hills and valleys, the merging of color and texture, it is an enigma, unexplained, and wild. No matter the destruction left by its swirling, even when cleared away, it creates itself again and again in ( Read more... )

hmmm. I've heard this complaint before. From you actually. I believe at the time you called it 'pixilated'. However some rare and very scientific experiments have been done on flat surfaces in a walkway between the door and the kitchen. The results? Pixilated Vortexs every time! This phenomena appears new to the scientific community, however women who keep house world wide seem to be unsurprised.

Indeed! I do believe the phenomonon has intensified at my house though. I used to be able to at least get the stuff form one event put away before the next layer appeared. Siiigh....

(speaking gently) sweetie perhaps in your case it's not pixies. Perhaps this is just the slowing down and aging process at work.

Crone! I've not caught up to you yet! You forget how the sun catches that shiny spoon of yours and makes it gleam!

I do believe you may be on to something. I think we should begin a new trend. It will make eating at the table difficult but we'll manage.

Methinks we have begun to identify the culprits. Perhaps said Pixies could be induced to wreak their havoc in another way? Or maybe we should stick with the beast we know!

Use all your might to stop this phenomena NOW!

Do NOT hesitate or all will be lost. My personal vortices have taken over ALL flat surfaces... tables, counter tops, ledges, window sills, stairs! Even as I speak, I'm noticing small outbreaks on the floor (and have you ever tried to nail a floor to a wall? Damned difficult.) No wonder the cats don't stay still for more than a few minutes, they're afraid they'll be lost under a pile.
