Wow, what fascinating reading all those Banana Fish reviews have made! (Especially the latest round table - how gratifying it must be to gather all these intelligent ladies together and have them contributing all this clever commentary.) And a Rurouni Kenshin re-read can only be a good thing (especially as Saitou is now *just around the corner*...)

Yeah, I love Saito so much. :)

And thanks for the Banana Fish compliment! I'll pass that along to Melinda Beasi. :) I can't believe we have only one more installment to go (vols 17-19).

I did like how the Impel Down arc allowed for re-introduction of some of the rogues' gallery from prior arcs.

Boa Hancock tweaks me pretty hard; there's somethin' wrong with that woman.

The war arc that's upcoming is cataclysmic. I'll be very interested to see what you think.

It's followed, however, by a two-year timeskip a la Naruto which annoys me immensely; important things happened to the non-Luffy crew, and all we get to see about them is the chapter-intro snapshots. Post-timeskip picks up on Sabaody, though, and it's neat to see the differences in the Straw Hats in a known context before they finally head on to the Fishman Island arc (which is not yet complete).

Yeah, seeing the old enemies was a lot of fun. I <3 Mr. 2 Bon Clay very much, but Luffy's interactions with the others were good, as well.

I know about the timeskip, but I'm not as annoyed. I hope that Oda will eventually fill in those missing bits for everyone else, like he found time to flesh out their backstories and stuff along the way.
