haven't really been on the up-and-up in regards to music these days, but the new albums i have heard this year have got me disoriented. albums that i would have thought to be a given in terms of goodness, have left me disappointed: bjork, muse, joanna newsom, the beasties instrumental. ones that i thought would be alright, but ended up blowing me

I didn't get into Volta either...earth intruders is great, and innocence is okay...but the rest didn't excite me. I've noticed it always takes me a while for her new albums though. I buy them right when they come out, they sit on my shelf for like a year, then I fall in love w/ them. I don't know...
