Remember when I wrote about, in part, the politicized arguments against scientific studies? Yeah. Well, guess what? There's a liberal conspiracy against abstinence education!

I think there have already been studies showing that schools that teach abstinence only have a fairly high rate of sexin', pregnancy, and especially VD. I think that Linda Klepacki is full of shit and is struggling to find truth to back up her beliefs.

I also just watched the movie Kinsey. It's a reenactment of the life of a scientist who decided to scientifically examine human sexual behavior. It's extremely interesting for many reasons, but it also shows the naiveté which abstinence only education can produce.

I would like to live in la-la land where I'm never WRONG, it's just that someone's OUT TO GET ME.

Seriously. Where can I buy tickets to this mystical land? It would be so much easier if I didn't have to adhere to these standards of, you know, REALITY.

Incidentally (and Bev might be able to speak more to this), I believe that most journals do their review process "double-blind" -- i.e., the author of the paper is not known to the reviewer, and the identity of the reviewer is not known to the author.

For real, I'm kind of curious about this land myself. I get curious about it whenever I hear the phrase "the Persecution of Christians in this country." Maybe the land is Rome, or Lebanon, or some other land where Christians haven't been running said land since its inception.
