love and miss hearing from you~ These early hurricanes bother me too. They always come up and dump their remmenants on us... we're getting downpours from the last one now. I just hope it's getting it out of its system early. Besides, there's a Greg in the storm name list and I don't want it (or any others!) hurting anyone I know, the irony would be too great :B

hi, nope, still in gcs, the jax reference was more a general area ref since not many folk know where gcs is in FL. I got the cards... oh, few days ago? the days all blur together for me anymore...not doing so well. i heard you're moving -- congrats and all that -- sorry i can't be more happy for you as I recently got turned down for a job in japan. but maybe you'll meet a girl who once stayed with my Japanese family, her name is Marisa don't know her last name, younger than us, probably just graduated, from Chicago... she's heading off to near Shirahama. Congrats on Nara, its beautiful, my favorite city besides osaka. check out the art museum, its not too far away from Todaiji, worth a visit if you want to see some really unique and old sculptures. Um, probably nothing to bring now (unless you want to stock up on deodorant), but winters get pretty snowy -- nothing like Akita I'm sure. Good walking shoes to be sure, something that will hold up against lots of mud and deer poo. Can't think of anything else you probably already haven't
