I have an English degree, a load of graduate level english courses, and a deep and abiding love of all modernist fiction. So why have I never heard of Dorothy Richardson? I stumbled on her name in a New Yorker article on the Harry Ransom Center.  The article mentioned she was the first English language practitioner of stream of consciousness

I like the line you picked. How is your own writing going?

It's going pretty good. I had a new idea for a short story, which was unexpected. I didn't think I'd be writing any new ones for a couple of months. Otherwise, just focusing on revision at the moment.

How about you? Having the urge to write much lately?
