"Cuz your friends don't dance and if they don't dance well they're no friends of mine"

Alright, alright...I'm rethinking this Twitter thing already.
I'm doing away with the Twitter posts to LJ...because that's really unnecessary. >.<

That and taking time out of doing actual things to sit there and be antisocial, typing away on my iPod touch is definitely NOT cool. I do not dig, yo. PLUS, I don't really carry around my iPod with me so, ( Read more... )

Lol. It's scary how much you thought that out...

:P

But no, I agree. Pure and utter narcissism... sorta like frequent blogging. :P Oh, what? :P

I tend to have a love-hate relationship with the internet anyway. It's inherently isolationist. And for that, let it be damned... But... I'm also too pathetic for much else. :P

Never too scary. Gotta think about stuff sometimes. :P

Exactly! The internet is just another excuse to spend MORE time sitting around.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind...

:P

$10 if you can name that one without Googling. :P

The internet has its benefits... I meet some of the most interesting people I know this way... You for instance. ...buuut... it's still intangible and vacuous.

But WHY do we think people actually want to hear "I'm eating soup" or "I forgot how awesome this webcomic is"? NO OF COURSE THEY DON'T!!1!

Oh god, seriously. I have yet to see someone use Twitter for anything other than this. I love love love my LJ friends, but honestly - if I can hardly remember what I had for lunch today, why would I care about theirs? Who cares about stuff like that at all? And it's not like I don't wouldn't read updates about their everyday lives if they consisted of more than meaningless one-liners. LONG, SUBSTANTIAL UPDATES PLZ.

Sorry, didn't mean to discourage you if you think you could have fun with Twitter, it's just... Never seen anyone do anything sensible with it, is all.

UGH, I know! Every single time I go to write one of those twitter update things, I keep running out of space. XD Full paragraphs > Twitter tweets. (plus..."tweets" sounds really gay. I feel bad for all the men that use twitter.)

Ooh, good point! Businesspeople could definitely get a lot out of a short twitter about "sealed the business deal" or "meeting at corporate" or something like that. If you actually want to express yourself, don't go to twitter.
