A couple of things: If a letter from an Anglican priest would help, let me know... Also, Elizabeth Appleyard (you met her at her house once with us for a cookout) is a Brit and a barrister. Dan, her husband, said that if there was anything she could do to help I should offer her assistance. I wonder if she could look over your files for you or something? You could probably do this over the internet or she and Dan will be in England this summer for a month or so.
Thanks, yeah, maybe i'll send you the info i've asked other people to put in the letter and you could maybe get it off in the next couple weeks..
yeah, i remember the appleyards (i can't actually visualize them or their house, but i do remember them).. Do you know where they live in england? I was planning on getting someone to look over whatever matthew and i come up with - and maybe see if i can get a bit more of an idea what the hearing will be like.. it wouldn't hurt to get their email address, maybe. our friend boo's husband is a solicitor.. so i was gonna ask him to look over what we put together - but he's said before that he doesn't know anything about immigration, cause its not his speciality.. so i'm not positive he'll be that helpful, not sure really.
oh and i'd have to do it over the internet.. the hearing should take place in a couple months i think.. it just wouldn't hurt to have one more person to correspond to. thanks.
it is quite nice to have so many friends and familiy offering help..
Thanks for the update. Remember that Walt's daughter is studying law in England. She may be willing to take a look at your stuff, too. She's an American in Britain, too, so she may be sympathetic. Nancy could get you contact info.
i don't know if should bother a law student.. unless she could get me info on some resources on learning law - i've been looking for something that instructs lawyers how to put this 'appeal bundle' together should i ask nancy if i want this stuff? or you? cause i have her address.. maybe i'll email her in a bit.
i love you! was gonna call but thought you'd both be out all day.. so i'd have to call late... then i was too tired. sigh
